Cal Crutchlow threatens to quit Tech 3 over Espargaro deal

Cal Crutchlow’s frustration with Yamaha’s long-running pursuit of Spanish Moto2 rider Pol Espargaro could see him quit the satellite Monster-backed Tech 3 squad at the end of 2013. The British rider is adamant that his number one option for 2014 is to remain in the French-based Monster Yamaha Tech 3 squad but on a contract direct with Yamaha in Japan. That is...

I fully take your opinion on Cal , but you didnt give that in your first comment , but the point of all this is WTF can Cal do? ride a CRT while yet another Spaniard gets a factory bike , while Cal has all but killed himself this year for Tech 3 and Yamaha? Youre saying he should shut up and ride around on an inferior bike to a rookie who has done nothing to warrant the factory bike? . Sure sign Pol hes a good prospect but give him a Cal spec bike and let Cal have a shot at the top step with the factory bike . He had no choice but to go for a 1 year deal as Cal himself as explained more than enough times .

Splendid

I have to say I rather admire Cal for his balls to say in public how he feels. It all adds to the entertainment in MotoGP. Yamaha say they won't put 3 factory spec bikes on the grid - why the hell not? Honda have 4.

It's also a bit of a mystery why Yamaha are so keen to sign Pol. He doesn't look particularly special right now, why not stick him on a CRT for 2 years? It hasn't done his big brother any harm. Oh wait, he's Spanish and has moneybags backers. Just what the series needed.

pondering options..

People talk about Ducati & Suzuki for Cal..but what about Bautista's RCV at Gresini?

LCR deserve to be a proper 2 bike squad.

What about Aprilia and a gear-driven pneumatic valve head? I bet Cal would take a good half second off Alexis' times without that good shit.

It's all out there..

Bautista has a 2 year deal?..Jesus.

Cecchinello is such a hard working, down to earth guy..I'd love to see him get the money for two proper bikes.

Aprilia aren't MSMA and can run 24l & 12 engines with Marelli electronics.

Not sure about the busting bit Buster..but you could be right about it being his best option, for money.

It would be a chance to right the wrong of being beaten by Dovi last year too?

God Bless..tomorrow we start again.
