First pictures: Biaggi tests Pramac Ducati MotoGP bike

Six time world champion Max Biaggi returned to the track today at Mugello today the Pramac Ducati MotoGP bike. Following his retirement from WSB at the end of last season, the 41 year old Italian has been linked with a comeback to WSB along with testing duties for the struggling Alstare Ducati 1199 Panigale. But instead of focussing his efforts in...

Impossible comparison?

Whatever you say Rev..but we both know that's not entirely true and tends to be a big excuse for anyone who's losing an argument.

Ambient and track temp were very comparable.

Total race time was 2.2sec faster last year, or about a tenth per lap.

Guys like Lorenzo, Pedrosa & Crutchlow - riding the same bikes - set similar fast laps.

Yet at Ducati..Dovi's race time was 10 seconds slower than Hayden in 2012 - who was beaten by Rossi - and his fast lap last week was well over half a second slower.

After 5 races Andrea has less points than Rossi had this time last year and the gap from him to Hayden is smaller.

There is NO improvement at all..despite the general consensus from Ducatisti with heads wedged firmly inside Gobmeier's sweaty Red Lederhosen.

Dovizioso has been lucky the last two races and if Hayden says the lab bike is not the step they were looking for when they need something, I'm inclined to believe him.

7th/8th in Barcelona and back to usual.

Reckon this is simply Ducati granting Biaggi a personal indulgence which he's been hankering for. He now has some photo's of himself on the GP13 and something to show his kids. Doubt anything else will come from it.

Ha, ha, that made me laugh

Wosi comparing times and quoting like on like conditions as a basis for doing so. Quite ironic given that's the last thing he would do with his crazy assertions that Rossi was faster than Stoner in red. For instance Mugello 2011 with its resurfaced track making all riders significantly quicker than the year prior. Not for old Wosi though. This was rock solid proof of Rossi being quicker the Stoner on the big red bike. Wosi has never really even bothered to move past 'damn lies'. Statistics from him? Ho, ho, ho.

3kg?..nothing that a wrap of speed and a good shit wouldn't sort out.

Maybe Hayden is getting tired..tired of Corse's inability to give their riders a competitive steed and trotting out the same old bullshit.

Nick is only 5pts behind Dovi after 5 races, they've been riding at a pretty similar pace. love to see Dovi get the new bike and Hayden stick with the old. Have Ducati got the balls to make that call?

I see Gobmeier has been lamenting the days of custom made Bridgestones because they can't make a bike on a level playing field to the others? That's Ducati all we see in WSBK.

I wonder why they haven't gone back to the CF bike..or even the old steel trellis?

Haha Nostril..almost as funny as some claiming Stoner was as fast on the Ducati he tamed by crashing a third of the time, as the seamless-shift Honda? You been watching long?

Probably the additional 3kg of Biaggi's ego caused Ducati a few problems...
