Ben Spies vows to repay Ducati faith

Ben Spies has vowed to reward Ducati’s faith in him by returning to the form that at one time seemed destined to see him challenge for the MotoGP world championship. The injury-ravaged Texan is unlikely to return to action until the Indianapolis round in mid-August while he continues the long and gruelling process of recovering from a severe right shoulder injury...

Got a feeling

Spies could prove a few people (including myself) wrong when he returns.    I certainly hope so we need more than the fab 4 battling for podiums.

I have been

a little disparaging regarding BS, his injury and not getting back, as how I see it, quick enough... but like Saturn, I would love to be proved wrong on it... I like Ben, and he has been a great racer to watch... and yes, the more fighting up front the better... but still, his 'comfort zone' seems a little bigger than some other racers and he seems too pleased to have a direct Ducati Corse contract securing his future and pay cheque whilst he is convalescing.

“It is a comfort zone in some ways but I don’t want to be hurt. "

I think that sums up why Ben will never be a force in MotoGP. Despite me wanting him to succeed in this sport, it's clear his thought process is self-sabotaging. Shame that really. Oh yeah, and his mum has a pretty good rack too.
