Catalunya MotoGP: Lorenzo dominates to take victory

Jorge Lorenzo took a dominating win in his home GP at Catalunya today, beating Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez with ease to make an all-Spanish podium. Lorenzo squeezed aside the pole man Pedrosa off the line to lead from the off, and although Pedrosa managed to pull in his lead a number of times, he was never close enough to make...

Rossi openly admits he's lost confidence, but it was a good solid 4th place. Marquez seems to me to have some sort of team orders. I think if Pedrosa wasn't there, he could have challenged Lorenzo but I will never know for sure.

I'm gutted for Crutchlow but he needs to learn to stay on at that pace and he will become a better rider.

Bautista, one word, knob.

Thank God for Marquez

As yet again, it was a pretty boring race. Surprised by all the fallers, looks like Bridgestone have some work to do with hot weather race's. Bradley put in a good effort and chuffed to see him finishing well.

sport needs a good shake up.

Apart from Ben Spies` win at Assen 2011 and Marquez`s this year  there have only been 3 winners since Rossi in 2110........2010!!!!! ...3 winners in 31/2 years !!!! And one of them has retired leaving two.
I`m not having a pop at the top guys they`re doing their job fantastically.....but when people say Motgp is a boring as F1 shows they clearly don`t watch F1!!!

My prediction for the next race....Its will be either Lorenzo or Pedrosa who wins.
Possibly, maybe,  Marquez. Thats it.

The interest in all of this, the only interest, comes from watching Rossi`s efforts on the Yamaha, Cals` progress and Ducatis progress or lack of thereof.

I can`t remember it ever being so "samey" every week.

Rossi fans

Just aren't happy unless they've got someone to demonise, even more so since he started just making up the numbers. I mean how many people outbraked themselves going into turn 10 that race? 6? And only bautista is the knob apparently. Anyway that looks like the best St Vale has got, and only chance for a podium is two of the top 4 falling off. Otherwise hats off to Jorge, but bit processional.

Just a tincy-wincy bit hypocritical of you to hand out lectures on demonising weskit.

You barely utter a sentence without slagging Rossi one way or another.

Bautista has history and is a fkin hot-head. First hard-braking left-hander and he was down on cold tyres. He doesn't understand the limits early in race trim and said himself he should have been more patient. He was lucky Rossi gave him room so he didn't take him down, or else he'd have got a ban.

Stay off the Red Bull/Vodka/Viagra cocktails fat boy.

Boring ?????

I get a bit bored of these 'boring race' comments.

If you don't like it, either come up with a solution or change channels and watch something else.

These top 3 can't help it if they are far more talented than the rest. Jorge and Dani are breaking records everytime they go out on the track. Marc has got all the skills to go down in the history books in the same sentance as Rossi and Agostini. After 40 odd minutes of racing, you could have thrown a blanket over 1st, 2nd and 3rd.....and apparently that's boring ????  Give us a break.

And then there's the rest. Rossi could be on the brink of joining them, who knows.  Cal has the pace but there always seems to be an excuse. And the Ducati's arn't quite there.

So what's this grand plan to make it all more exciting ?

How bout if they build a ramp 1/2 way down the straight. Or better still, grout in some spikes on the corners.

Well, it is boring

when a rider is toddling along all on his lonesome, 5 seconds or so away from anybody else.  Of course, when that was Stoner he was leading and wondering whether to unwrap the ham-and-mustard or the BLT sandwich, while when it is Rossi he's flipping through the excuse manual to find something, anything,  that he didn't use last race for failing to be on the podium yet again, but the result is the same.

Boring.

Still, it's a magnificent example of Rossi running a calculated campaign.  Throw in a fast lap on Friday so the T-shirts and caps will sell well before race day, and then stodge around so he's not embarrassed by being too old to climb up the steps to the podium on Sunday. He plays the brain-dead muppets like a fine violin, collects the dinare from the franchise shop and goes home laughing with the money in the bank without ever having to try at all.  He's a frickin' one-man Boy Band!
