Should the Honda deal fall through then i'd opt for Ducati above the Kalex-Yamaha. Given a strong engine then Scott has the talent/balls to 'ride around' certain problems, imo. Ducati/Audi is still very much in it's infancy. Presuming that the Duke won't go backwards any further, things can only get better?

Either way, it's good that he seems to be very much on the radar.

Customer Honda will be a waste of time for anything other than being best of the customer / hybrid machines. It's doubtful it could be put anywhere near the podium, despite what the recent sales hype said - they want to sell them after all. Only advantage may be a decent performance on it would provide a foothold with Honda and maybe a semi-works or near works satellite bike the year after

Ducati are a conundrum.  They seem to have gained pace and improvements over shorter and single lap runs, evidenced by some of the qualifying positions and early running near the front. Hayden was also very fast in yesterday's test. Yet they still complain of understeer and lack of feel. If they can find that missing piece to get the consistent lap times over race distance then they might not be a bad bet for next year.

Difficult choice to make if it comes to an offer. Not sure which one would be best.

Scott don't go to Ducati ,the yamaha engine deal should be a better bet over Ducati , Lin Jarvis said that the engine deal won't be that far from the tech 3 set up,. The customer honda won't even be in the same ball park, in theory the yamaha engine in a ftr / kalex chassis should be a good starting point

A chassis that's unproven in MotoGp cradling an engine which 'appears' to not be so strong. Hmmmmmm?

First off because any prototype has the potential to be developed into a race winner but all Crt, lease engines or proddie racers are designed specifically not to win. Also as yet no rider has shown Crt to be a route to a prototype/factory ride (Espargo may prove the exception). Equally honda seem to methodically teir their riders and the level of support they recieve throughout the field. I can't see any production honda customer being given the opportunity of a works or factory ride, maybe, if, he rode the wheels off the proddie, they might, let him ride bautistas bitsa. When was the last time someone on the bitsa got given a factory ride?
