Valentino Rossi boosted by braking breakthrough

Valentino Rossi hailed his successful Motorland Aragon test appearance as one of his best days since returning to Yamaha, despite finishing almost a second slower than factory YZR-M1 teammate Jorge Lorenzo. The Italian was all smiles and full of optimism heading to the next race in Assen after he set a personal best time of 1.49.007 that put him fourth behind...

and these steps are what it takes to get him a little closer to the leading pack. And when he gets there he doesn't think twice to 'have a go' . Like you say we want battles up front, not processions.

Where have we heard this old chestnut before from a yellow bed-wetter

Only positive comments from me

followed by;

the career-wrecking Ducati (and how satisfying it is to see how little progress they are making when Dovizio tells them straight that 'everything needs to be improved'

They carry a chip don't they for the way the Duke exposed the world nr.6's inadequacies.

rossi first statement.

see previous post he says, i could have easily been into the 48's!!! then a drop of rain came down and i scrapped the lap. excuses and bold statement even from the goat himself, even worse that other non factory bikes are regularly beating him.

Nice to see

Still can't believe that ow01fogno1 believes that he knows absolutely everything that goes on in racing, let alone a testing session, where only Rossi and his team knows how good their bike really is. First of all the +1.0 second gap could be because of the rain, which it probably was because that's what he said, and it could also be because Rossi struggles at new circuits, he's hasn't done well at Silverstone either, disappointingly as he's my favourite, and I've only ever seem him win once at Donington in 2005. He says that he's improved, so why can't we be excited that we may see Rossi closer to the top 3 in Assen and hopefully the rest of the season.

What is it with the haters on here? It is a very stupid person who thinks that old 46 is a spent force, he's been at it for 19 GP seasons. Of course there are young guns who are going to beat him, but he will win again. Anyone who wants to publically put their money against it give me a shout, coz it'll be like leaking candy off a baby. Enjoy watching the goat while he is still on the grid, coz you'll sure miss him when he's gone.
