and to think

tomorrow is the 'longest day'..... *sigh*

I don't know if any of you are old enough to remember something called 'summer' - we used to get them decades ago.... Those were the days! :smile

'Sandcastle summers' - my 'bucker and spade' has long since rusted away

I bring good news.

According to the experts this miserable run of damp summers is likely to change "at some point in the next decade."

Sulks.

I know, me too!
Apparently they can't yet explain the recent, particularly harsh Winters. I love the science but it just goes to show how complex weather and climate are, and how little of it is properly understood.

It's no mystery - It's a well known fact - 'illegal immugrunts' have been smuggling foreign rain into this country for years now ...it's the Govt's. fault.

The weather does seem like a very complex thing to understand.

I think we all generally know the basics, but never give it too much thought that the tides, winds, jet streams and warming of the seas are also part of that mix too.

I'm sure many unnatural things have a baring on it too (dare I even mentions polution and industrial activity)!

Finger crossed we won't have to wait too long, however I do long for that perfect summer like those from my childhood / teenager days...... or were they truly a figment of my imagination!?!
