Put those three ingredients together Jamie  -  likeability, marketability and racing talent and you've got the recipe for success and success attracts investment - MotoGp is a business the spin-off  of which is entertainment for us fans.  It's mercenary but that's how big business works.

Likeability begets marketability attracts investment = success.   Simple formula.

Checchinello is one of the nicest guys in the paddock.

He bleeds motorcycle racing..has twiddled spanners, won races as a rider and now runs his own team. He was pivotal in bringing Casey Stoner to the fore.

It's a shame for Redding it appears there won't be a space. I bet Nakamoto is rueing the decision to extend Bradl's contract until the end of 2014 now.

Here's a fascinating interview with the LCR boss, conducted by Dean Adams for Soupkast..

I don't think Bradl is on Showa suspension, only Bautista. Bradl does have Nissin brakes though.

If Checcinello find the money to pay the bike , the mechanics then Honda will say to him "we don't sell to you the bike". For the factory bike of Bradl, Checcinello don't pay anything to Honda?Honda give him the bike for free and say him what to do?
