Lotus

LOTUS ... Casting a lot of old ashes in all directions from a knackered old phoenix that was warm in the 80's ...

But respect to Colin Chapman for the design and engineering in the four wheeled world!!!

Good luck but....

Good luck to Lotus but car manufacturers have utterly failed to developed or style respectable motorcycles, even when utilising F1 development. Motorcycles absolutely must have a decent spread of power and torque whereas car manufacturers strive only for peak power. This means that car manufacturer developed motorcycles are overly peaky with poor engine characteristics for motorcycle. Car stylist have also made some of the most horrendous looking bikes. Pinafarina styled morbedelli, Ferrari bikes, Lamborghini bikes etc are all hit repeatedly with the pig ugly stick before being shown to the public. The tank image doesn't fill me with lots of enthusiasm for an attractive looking bike.

hmmm.

I actually think Lotus have a better shot at making a decent bike than most other car manufacturers, they understand the importance of low weight and most of their cars expose their user to the elements much like a bike, plus they're british so hopefully they'll try to take inspiration from fellow brit manufacturers like Norton and Triumph. Don't know 'em before you've even seen the product, all we know so far is that its going to be powerful as f*** and it more than likely to be rusty and broken within it's first ride due to it being a British manufacturer; oh well I'm just looking forward to seeing the final product.

Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious?! I sincerely hope they do a good job, but fear that if they do it is likely t obe a toy for the super rich (or at least those a damn sight betterb off than me)
