Imola WSB: Sykes does the double

Motocard Kawasaki rider Tom Sykes rode a faultless race to take the double win at Imola and come away with the champonship lead. Sykes got a great start and led from the first corner, with Davide Giugliano in tow until the Aprilia rider crashed out on lap three. Pata Honda rider Jonathan Rea capitalised on his good qualifying to finish second. Factory Aprilia...

Onya Syksie! If only your bike preserved its tyres that way last year, you'd have easily beaten that dickless Roman midget-snob.

The door is closed !

There is no natural progression any more from WSB to MotoGP even if ever there was.   The natural resource is Moto2 where there is an abundance of young guns waiting in the queue to move up. The advantage is that they know the tracks intimately and are considerably younger than the top WSB guns.  The factory and satellite teams will always make Moto2 their first choice. Hell's Teeth even Crutchlow can't get a factory ride and he's MotoGP's Best of the Rest.  The only opening that WSB riders will get is either with a CRT, Customer Honda  or Yamaha engined special.   Shame !!!
