Bradl had his career handed to him by his father's contacts within the sport and like the father, he too is not a winner at this level. Within a couple of years he will be seen chugging round on a BMW attempting to keep up with the very average superbike fields of present.

Scott Redding on the other hand is, as Murray Walker was fond of saying, a whole different bucket of haddock. He'll be on the works Suzuki in 2015 and will be a revelation, though he will have his hands full with Marquez and countryman Crutchlow. Valentino will be gone by then, Lorenzo will still be a force and the Puig boy will be put out to a satellite team. Amen to that one.
