Fuel tank play on a street triple

Hi Guys,

I bought a 2013 Street Triple R back in march and have just fitted some tank grippers and noticed there was a quite a bit of movement from the tank. Having a closer look there is some rubber bushes were the tank connects to the frame. Is this normal?

Triumph Street Triple R 2013

Hi Paul

Yes it is normal for your fuel tank to have a little movement as all fuel tanks are rubber mounted. This is to prevent vibration, wear if in direct contact with other components(frame engine etc) and damage to other components.Good Luck
