most of the passes...

were blocked with snow or debris...so we had to vacate Switzerland early, and head for the South of France.:upset:

lovely places you went to there Oldish

Mr BB and I were talking about another European trip later in the year but we would need a sure fire trusted route we could do in 4 days as so much happening at home may only get a few days to do it in.

Also probably going to do it on a TDM this time for shear comfort

well broken up....

the longest day by design was Zeebrugge to Neiderbron in the Alsace region of France. The others should have been sub 200's...BUT the idea was to circumnavigate Switzerland via the various passes...and that's where it went wrong, culminating in the 'worst days ride ever' 325 miles, mostly in 'boil in the bag' heat taking nearly 12 hours while the 2 sat navs had a 'this way that way' fight. All down to most of the passes still being closed due to snow and debris.Add to that road closures sending us on a great big 100 miles out of our way toll road loop.(we saw a lot of Heidi type Switzerland though,as the sat navs dragged us up various mountain roads.
