Motorcycle insurance without a license

Hi experts :)

I have a bike a bought in February (Honda Hawk GT) with the intent of passing my test shortly after. Unfortunately I failed my test and my CBT expired along with my funds..... Now I am about to move house and my friend is available to ride the bike but it needs to be insured temporarily. Ive tried to get it insured but there is no option for no license and I can't find any temporary insurers. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Moving Bike

I assume you will be using a removal van or lorry to move your furniture etc. so why don't you load the bike onto this to get it to your new home, or if your not using a van for this, then you might well be as cheap hiring one for a few hours to move it rather than paying for temp ins cover, or even better, do you know anyone close by that has access to a van and that could move it for you? just make sure its well secured with straps, ropes etc.

Thanks for the reply, Its more the issue of moving the bike into the van as it would be me and my dad and his back isn't up to it. If there is a service that rents bike ramps it would be better.

Thanks

IIRC Norwich Union do temporary insurance. Your mate will have to be the insured one.

The best way would be to move the bike via movers service . they will take care of it along with other cargo.

Else getting a temporary Insurance might be a costly afire.
