would you

go around in shorts on your bike? ive seen many bikes today with rider and pillion in shorts and my opinion is that it is totally crazy! if they came off it would probably tie up a lot of medical staff and it would hurt a bit!  ... and anyway..  you can buy really good summer gear that lets the wind blow right through without totally risking the skin. i have a summer jacket abd its so good i can cycle in it

Strange this one.

I ride in UK and Spain.

I would never consider riding in shorts/shirt in UK. I have summer riding gear.
Yet, in Spain i do ride in shorts and shirt (scooter).
On the bike in Spain i alway's wear long trousers and a summer jacket.
All my bikes have the storage to strip off and put excess gear in on arrival at my destination.

Shorts?

Ride in shorts, no but I am happy to ride in jeans.  Perhaps I should get myself some Kevlar jobbies.

gear

yes i had some draggin jeans with kevlar in. no armour though.  however, after havinf actually been injired im thinking its just def not worth the amount of hassle of being in hosoital on pain killers and then sat at home for ahes unable to get out... and in pain. its a fact of riding that we do come off and it knly takes once in inappropriate gear to cause a major inconvience.
