No factory Yamaha future for Cal Crutchlow

Cal Crutchlow’s ambitions to be a factory Yamaha rider in MotoGP in the future appear to have all but vanished, with the Japanese factory reluctant to guarantee him a works YZR-M1 in 2015.The British rider told Yamaha management in meetings during the recent Assen round that he is willing to stay in the satellite Monster Yamaha Tech 3 squad for...

Outspoken PR

Seems to be something we are all guilty of.... especially on this forum...! Cal is sometimes his own worst enemy, speaks and shoots from the heart... but he rides from this same heart too... he is not pivotal to MotoGP as previously reported, but I think he is good for MotoGP and Dorna recognise this... I think things will sort themselves out ok for CC, hopefully!

If I'm not mistaken Benny seems to been removed from these threads?. Maybe now we might now have light hearted banter.

Simon,

you always could have had light hearted banter, it's just the majority bite when a troll happens upon this forum.

a troll looks for a reaction, the subject matter is immaterial, it's the thrill of seeing someone bite that drives a troll, a troll will make outrageous predictions that are as fanciful as can be or denigrate a rider doing a good job , not to try and engage in a sensible conversation but to goad a personal response.

some people need more impetus to get a hard on, the forum could do a good turn for all by stopping feeding trolls Viagra.

oh, and as a hunting ground for trolls go this forum is like an Amsterdam live fuck show they get in for free so as sure as eggs is eggs the trolls will return and do you know what Simon, he'll get his/her Viagra on repeat prescription.

C'est la vie.

Cost?

One thing I've heard Lin Jarvis say a number of times is Yamaha can't afford to put more than 2 factory-spec bikes on the grid like Honda and Ducati can. I don't understand why this should be - Isn't most of the money spent developing the bike in R&D? Or is it more complicated than that? I can fully understand how it must take many thousands of man-hours to design the bike using extremely expensive computer systems, but how expensive can the actual manufacturing process be? Aren't the tools already made?

I think Yamaha are missing a trick here, and a couple of years down the line the grid is going to be drowning in Hondas of all different specs. Fight fire with fire, and make more bikes - the hard work, the development, is already done.

Denigrate

denigrate a rider doing a good job

He was't denigrating Cal, he just said he's not good enough to be a factory rider, which he isn't. Then he laughed, which made you bunch of fuckwits foam at the mouth, which was funny.

Idiots.

before they

removed said trolls feed I must admit DT that some were taking the mans comments to seriously. There is an old saying from where I am from," I am not a racist, I hate every f~*cking one". He shall return in another guise like a criminal in a Batman comic to get your backs up. Back to Cals predicament, honestly if you were a factory team manager would you sack Jorge or Vale to put Cal on your bike? It could be a blessing in disguise for Cal.
