Title defence difficult but not impossible for Lorenzo

Valentino Rossi has admitted the chances of factory Yamaha teammate Jorge Lorenzo successfully defending his MotoGP world title in 2013 will be difficult after the Spaniard’s latest injury nightmare in Germany today. Has common sense at the expense of greed left bike racing. Jorge should never have been let race a few hours after an operation like that. I admire the size of his gonads, but the doctors are mad. Being able to do a few push ups hardly is proof of fitness. Now he's really buggered it.

this crash had nothing to do with assen. if jorge didn't race in assen this would not have happend?? he would be in the same situation only another 25 points away and jorge now out of 2 races he would be 75 points behind. so riding in assen was just amazing and good for him. get well very very soon Jorge! wish you the best. Now Go Rossi i want a repeat of assen!!

No doubt about it,Dani will be playing the percentage game heading into the season break.

Real bad news for George and that title defence,

On a lighter note, so much for the crass superstition current pertaining to racing with that hefty #1 plate of yore !

Now that pedrosa has thrown it up the road at turn one and possibly broke his collar bone.

Dani helicoptered to hospital for scans.

Will he come out fighting and keep scoring points like Jorge did @ Assen?

A pivotal point in the championship. MM & VR will smell blood.

Outstanding stuff from Espargaro & Aprilia..

Now..if they agreed to let Marelli have their software in the spec ECU hardware for next year, with 24 litres & 12 engines, Aprilia could well be a force to be reckoned with..killing Yamaha's lease engine proposals stone dead and seriously denting HRC's plans to sell RCV production racers.

Go Aprilia..get Scotty on one and keep the VDS team together for a tilt at the big class.

Reports suggest his collarbone is ok but CT scans are because he's possibly banged his head and was feeling faint - if there's any sign of concussion from a knock to the head he won't be allowed back on a  bikke
