Jorge Lorenzo completes further shoulder surgery

Jorge Lorenzo has undergone a second major operation on his left shoulder in 15 days after a vicious Sachsenring high-side yesterday (Friday) ruled the reigning world champion out of the German MotoGP round. Lorenzo fell heavily at Turn 10 in FP2 and damaged a titanium plate he’d only had inserted a fortnight ago following a high-speed accident at Assen which broke...

Not a good few weeks for Jorge

It was looking so good up until that crash in FP2 at Assen, winning the last two races at Mugello and Catalunya. Then he saved his championship chances with that heroic ride just over 24 hours after having surgery on his collarbone, only to bend the titanium plate attached to his left collarbone and rule him out of tommorow's race. Apparently, he himself has said he doesn't think he will be fit for Laguna Seca, which is a real suprise to me; how can he ride just over a day after having surgery, but not be able to ride a week after having surgery, but I'm no Doctor, so maybe it's worse than it seems. Really opens up the championship.

bad news

Shame as he has been so gritty, however Dani being injured puts the championship on a kind of hold.Sadly for all, these boys earn their corn I can see Rossi scooping up the pickings here ,It's going to be interesting ,unless of course your a Cal hating Dovi loving lunatic, in which case oh dear your Mums going to be sore again Benny ha ha like the new frame eh sheep boy

I feel sorry for Lorenzo. He tries so hard and gives it everything come rain or shine. But as they say, as one door shuts, another opens. In the spirit of giving it everything....yamaha, please please please don't put some crap test rider on his bike and disgrace the bike and the team by finishing last. Give it to cal and watch the fireworks.

Amazing timing

great timing for Rossi to start winning again, just as Lorenzo & Dani bizarely injure themselves at the same time? seems almost unbelievable...... it's like all of Rossi's competition is being elimated by some strange force..... or has Rossis return to form upset the super smooth Lorenzo and spooked Dani? all a bit weird really.
