Jorge Lorenzo withdraws from Laguna Seca MotoGP race

Very surprising

Very surprising indeed. It seems pretty certain that Dani will be racing at Laguna so either way, this is very bad for Jorge. This injury to his collarbone must be pretty bad if he can ride a day after having surgery on it but not a week after after surgery.

Yep, it is a pity he is not going to make it at Laguna, as more riders that are fighting at the front the better. Also he'll be losing points to both Honda riders which will be very difficult to claw back in latter races. It was definately a risk to race so soon after an injury, but he has had so many race weekends that has been incident free, he must of thought it was worth that risk.

Spare seat on the Yamaha

Yamaha should take the opportunity to give Lorenzo's bike to Cal and put Espargero on Cal's bike. I think it would show the folly of their plans for next year.
