German MotoGP: Marquez scorches to win

Marc Marquez has scorched to victory in Germany, taking the win easily despite a late challenge from Cal Crutchlow. Valentino Rossi led off the line, although Stefan Bradl was able to squeeze past on the second lap and hold an early lead, before Marquez also made it past. They then made a small break after a mistake from Rossi dropped him...

You are totally dellusional...

"The passes on Rossi and Bradl were aggressive and clinical..." He struggled to (cleanly - chapeau) pass Vale that had tyre problems and he passed Bradl that is an inferior rider (at the moment).

So, to calm down the Britt fanboys, hear (read) this:

Cal has only 1/2 2013 to do whatever he can to cheer you up. There will be no British W Champion.

From next year, he will be fighting mid-pack with Dovi, no matter what he rides. Esparrago is coming, Vale is getting used again to the M1, he will stay without a factory ride and probably out of Tech3 as a result of his stupid non-sence talking, IF he doesn't injure himself (wish him not) cause luck doesn't last forever...

Pizza boy

is being overpaid for riding that Ducati, not for destroying it on those lap times.

Diablo

Forget about Cal and next year - it's as irrelevant as it is hypothetical.

Yesterday he rode a fantastic race, he is far and away the best satellite rider, not only for this season, but for some years too. Not only that, he is more than occassionally matching the lap times of the 'big 3'.

According to reports, Yamaha have sorted out the issue he was having in turning the bike in the early laps. How I don't know, maybe they've given him the revised frame and fuel tank position that Rossi and Lorenzo have. Whatever it is, it's allowed him to push more in those early laps.

Next step is to sort out why the bike won't come off the line quickly enough. Rider, mechanical or electronics? Whichever, it needs sorting as if it is, there is every chance of a win this year.

There is only one reason for your childish and fairly transparent response Diablo.

I think Cal is showing just what he can do on a factory bike because that's what he is currently riding while Lorenzo is out and/or injured. Sachsenring not a fast flowing track so suits the Honda as Assen suited the Yamaha, Laguna will suit Rossi IMO as Marquez hasn't ridden there yet. Cal could surprise me, depends on which spec bike he gets for Laguna seeing as Jorge will be back but how hurt we aren't sure yet, but until now he hasn't done well at Laguna, but if he gets a factory spec ride and muscles it around like he did yesterday he could be up there at the end.

early laps

Dont think Cal has the new fuel tank, as it requires a new, wider, subframe which is why the works yams have a different tail unit. Cal also said that he got off the line quickly, but had to roll off when marquez came across infront of him. Still good to see that he got up to speed relatively quickly after being mugged in the first corner

Quite correct bulto he did ride fantastic race and yes he is the best satellite rider this year but that is also down to the fact the bike is better and far closer to the factory bike than ever before.
And no he does not have the revised fuel tank.

nobody said Cal would win a WC but as a Brit i'd like to see him given the chance.

Dani has no MotoGP crown and 8 years is a lot of time to show how fast you once were.

for all that he's considered an alien without any argument so what if Cal is only as good as Dani, wouldn't he still be an alien?

give the guy a chance, he's earned it, just born in the wrong country.

the aliens

Who said you had to have won a race to be classed as an alien??? Spies won a race but has never hassled the leading four riders the way Cal does. Indeed unlike Spies, Cal is getting better and better with every race. But for ONE dnf in NINE races ,he would be seriously in the fight for the title, and hes not that far behind now. Yes he spout crap some times, but dont they all, Feck me in people see Bradl as deserving of a factory bike, why not Cal??? First season he was on an outclassed 800 far far behind the factory bikes in competitiveness ,but has had the raw pace since!!! Alien class and pace? damn skippy he is.

who the hell is won?

Maybe Cal deserves a factory bike but it would not make any difference.
Put him on one of the factory machines now and I guarantee his results would not improve.
