Goodwood Festival of Speed Gallery

With the Goodwood Festival of Speed now one of the biggest motorsports events in the UK calendar, MCN has a full team there all weekend. Check out some of the things they saw, people they met, and bikes they rode!

KTM

Please show the 1290 new Soperduke, I saw it run on Friday, by a test rider from KTM he just pulled a very very fast Wheelie, and they were about in the padock to have a chat , one of the team said it has a "large" tank, and is very good on juice, so good range,  apparently he also claims they crash well, their test riders like to "test" the bikes.

Fantastic Day

Went on the Friday with a few mates. Just wandering about the bike paddock we saw John McGuiness, Randy Mamola, Ian Hutchinson and Jeremy McWilliams - all in the space of about 5 minutes. They were all happy to chat for a while or scribble a signature. The bikes were stunning. Rarely do you get a chance to get such an up close and personal view of such hallowed machinery - Rossi's Ducati, Ago's MV, McG's Blade - and that's just the start. I urge you to go next year, it's a truly world-class event.

That

KTM SuperDuke was a beast... very quick bike, and nice to see it being given some stick up the track unlike some of the wealthy privateers mincing about in their ex-F1 cars etc, who just embarrass themselves at event like this by crawling up the track at a snail's pace.

Britten

A brilliant day, bloody hot though. My highlight was seeing the Britten V1000 in the flesh then running up the hill. If you know nothing of the Britten look it up, John Britten was an amazing man, so sad when we lost him. RIP John.
