Cal Crutchlow not upset to miss out on maiden win

Cal Crutchlow may still be seeking to end Britain’s 32-year winless run in the MotoGP world championship but denied he had missed a golden chance to claim a first premier win in Germany yesterday (Sunday). The British rider produced one of the best performances of his career at the Sachsenring to fight his way back from sixth to second, passing Assen...

What d'you propose bartman?

Yamaha rip up Vale's contract with 18 months on it to give it Cal 'cause he beat him to second, and is a whole 6 points ahead? What do all you Cruthelites really, honestly expect Yamaha to do? Bust a gut to give Cal a third factory contract just 'cause he's your favourite?

Plus, he'd get more respect if he didn't fabricate stories. If us lowly fans can pick up on his bullshit you can bet the smart factory guys are hearing it too.

Genuine question...

So we read that Lin Jarvis says Cal's bike in equal to factory machinery. Yet lots of folks on here reckon "if only he had a factory bike" etc. So which is it ? I know he's using some stuff from last years factory bikes but what is he lacking compared to 99 and 46 ? His current bike certainly seems to have good pace.

Genuine Question

Jarvis didn't say Cal has a full factory bike

He said virtually. That means there is a difference or differences. What they are we'll never fully know but it's reasonable to assume that he doesn't have the latest frame and fuel tank  which gives a better weight bias on full fuel.

Anything other than that is speculation although Spalding did mention recently that Lorenzo has a new clutch to help challenge Pedrosa off the line and speculating, I'd guess the factory electronics package is a step up from Tech3.

Quote from Jorge Martinez, team Aspar manager

Martinez said: “We are speaking with Yamaha because for us it is the most interesting option because they told us that the performance of the engine will be the same as (Cal) Crutchlow’s.

Wow, Yamaha has the 'real deal' and they don't even know. Things you learn on internet forums.
