According to the BBC website, driverless cars are to be tested on UK roads this year. I looked up "adaptive cruise control" (anti-collision) and apparently it may not recognise motorcycles ahead. Pedestrians ought to be alright though.

probably would have saved me from having to have ankle surgery if the van driver who drove into the side of my stationary motorcycle had this fitted.
