You will probably find that the chain is of the wrong spec for the bike. What make are the sprockets and what make is your chain?

Usually it is best practice to purchase a chain and sprocket kit, you are then sure all components match and it is usually cheaper.

yeah its a 530 pitch chain as done a bit of digging, the guy that had it before me turned out to be right bodger..

chain is a 50vm (530 -pitch d.i.d.) sprockets look standard...

done some diggin, it has a 16 front (17 is standard) and 44 rear (45 standard) with 106 link chain 530 pitch..its 110 link standard so thats y I am having issues.  got new front sprocket and new cheapie chain
just for mot to get her on the road..will get a new set nxt year ..
Fitted new rear 45 tooth sprocket yesterday and the chain isnt meshing with rear sprocket, only catching maybe 4 teeth so not even running her in on private road now...bugger..still, everything works, clutch is spot on, all gears work, electrics work...so this is just last bit of mechanicals...:smile
