Ace Cafe.. what's going on?

Since i've been off the road I've hardly been in the place.. 3 months or so.. plus the untimely death of my very good friend who always hung out there has kept me away.. So thought i'd drop in to catch up last saturday...

Full of police! pulling every bike in, checking them over.. I was in the car so just drove by but the place looked dead (obviously!)

Same again last night.. I drive past on the way home from work anyway so thought i'd have a look.. Police everywhere again, pulling all bikes in.

Now I heard that last week a squad car was attacked by some 'orrible little chavs throwing stuff,, Well, fair enough, the police shouldn't have to deal with that shit but if that is the case what are the police trying to acheive??

2 sat nights in a row they scare everybody away, are they trying to close the place down???

apparently the council

have imposed a Dispersal Zone for the area to stop so called anti-social behaviour, so expect that type of over-reaction for some time to come!

A minority

wrecking it for the majority again giving the Police a heaven sent reason to clamp down on the place. I've been there once with the von41 GOSH run years ago and, there were some riders frigging about then.

On my bucket list

to visit. Never been. I remember from the old 59 club day's.

Best go soonest before it shut's down.
Isn't it hard enough to run a business in UK without this shit. I feel for the owners.

All the

cops are doing is shoving the antisocial behaviour elsewhere. Plus we all know bikes are pretty damn well maintained as they're usually owned by petrol heads so inspections are a pointless waste of resources. As proven by the recent "bike inspections" which caught more unroadworthy cars than bikes when they weren't even targeting cars.

This is just a few wankers and what they need to do is go in low profile and arrest / section 59 those who are being tossers and spoiling it for the majority, not make law abiding citizens and legitimate business suffer.
