Rossi expected more errors from rookie Marquez

Valentino Rossi believed 2013 MotoGP rookie sensation Marc Marquez would have made more mistakes at the start of his premier class career after the Spaniard claimed a stunning victory on his Laguna Seca debut. The Repsol Honda rider heads into the summer break with a healthy 16-point lead in the championship having only failed to the finish on the podium once...

He is making mistakes...

He's loose & ragged but he's fast & he really knows how to ride a bike to the extent of appearing to do the impossible & is recovering & learning from the mistakes he's making. Great to watch him learn but it's going to be scary next year when he knows all the tracks on a MotoGP bike.

MM is fast and loose

but he could be riding his luck. I fear he may end up having a big one in the not too distant future. Almost inevitable. How he reacts to that will show us the quality of this mercurial young man.

Mm the great?

Would Pedro have chosen to be his teammate from another team?? Truly a very fast learner and maybe to quick.but to ride that way at an unknown track as extreme as ls,respect to that Spanish man.pugwash is definitely fading fast.

Remains to be seen whether of not he can keep up this impressive form for the next few years, Jorge is one of the best consistently fast riders we have ever seen and even he has only managed 2 championships in 5 seasons and hasn't successfully defended either of them (yet). To label him the next Valentino Rossi as some people are doing is a bit of a premature statement. Got my fingers crossed for him to win it this year.

Loving MM

Marc is a breath of fresh air, after the sadness of losing Marco Simoncelli so tragically i wondered where the next character would come from, but Marc is fast as fuck, funny, personable and looks to enjoy racing, seeing him and Rossi laughing and mucking about after the race, as he does with Cal too, is great to see.

Pedrosa's time @ Repsol Honda could soon be up although in all fairness he doesn't get a lot of luck does he.

To be honest

I expected a few more mistakes as well. Laguna hasn't been kind to rookies in the past. As Laguna is like the old Assen (but was more drastic elevation changes) with banked and off camber corners, track knowledge has always played a part. It's highly impressive for MM to win first time out. Yeah Dani and Jorge wasn't 100% but he still went out and bagged the top step.
