Exclusive: Casey Stoner to test factory Honda in Japan

Double world champion Casey Stoner will make a dramatic return to MotoGP action next month when he tests a factory Honda RC213V at the Twin Ring Motegi track in Japan, MCN can reveal. The outspoken but blindingly fast Australian, who retired from MotoGP immediately after the final race of 2012 in Valencia last November, will take part in a two-day test...

Factory/satellite

Right enough Alex , I was trying to be clever showing that the satellite Hondas don't have a Marquez or Pedrosa on them :(

Mick Doohan

Was a legend although his post racer habits have cost him... You are right, after Mick there was no alien so people stopped using the term. Criville was not enough, Roberts Jr. was not enough, etc.

Eldiabolic...

"Your obsession on comparing Stoner's 2 championships with the best bikes by far on every year is ridiculous. When the japs closed the gap, the Ducrapi went backwards"

As has been stated time & time again neither manufacturer would have had an 800 championship without Stoner. The 2007 Ducati was slower at several circuits than the Honda & all of the bikes other than Yamaha (specifically with Rossi on it) had similar top speeds. There is no evidence to suggest the 2011 Honda had any advantage over Yamaha. Yours is the obsession I think.

for once I agree with ElDipstico

There was indeed a shortage of aliens between 2000 and 2006.

'with the best bikes by far'

So when in the last 15 years did the best bike not win the championship. 2000 and 2004?

If the 2011 Honda was so superior then how come Dovi only finished 3rd and Dani 4th behind Lorenzo. Surely they just had to turn up to get on the rostrum each race.
