Who's the most impressive 'old dog' still lining up on the grid to compete?

1993 500GP world champion Kevin Schwantz returned to racing at the weekend when he competed in the Suzuka 8hr and along with his team-mates finished third. At the same time Jeremy McWilliam, also 49, finished second in the Supertwins race at Armoy and set a new class lap record. pollcomment

Still competes in a top class Championship and is easily a top 10 runner, so Kudos is due.

Nice to see Kev back though, even if it was a one off.

Akira Yanagawa

Akira Yanagawa, 42 years old, 2nd in All Japan Championship standings, 2 points behind the leader and raced the last 2 races with broken bones in his lower back. He had to use steps to get on and off the bike due to his injuries.

Yanagawa is a propper legend!  Still Nori Haga deserves a mention here. He came third with Kevin and Kagayama at Suzuka 8 hours and was to knackered to even go to the podium. My favorite rider of all time, shame he never rode a Kawasaki.
