Tech 3 boss ‘sad’ at Cal Crutchlow departure

Cal Crutchlow’s Monster Yamaha Tech 3 boss Herve Poncharal has spoken of his sadness at the British rider’s decision to complete a lucrative switch to Ducati’s struggling factory MotoGP squad in 2014. Poncharal and Crutchlow have developed a close relationship away from the world championship paddock and the French team boss said the 2009 World Supersport champion’s exit would be felt...

''How come Espargaro gets the ride, when Scott Redding had undoubtably earned (IMHO) the offer ?''

Unless he changed his name by deed poll to Sergio Reddini he was never going to get the ride. New Ducati rider Carlos Crutchiosi experienced a simliar problem. Being fast is not enough, unfortunately riders really need to be Spanish these days. BTW I too think Scott is a stronger rider than Espargaro Jr., Iannone is too.

''A good Ducati would change things''

Yes it would but where the hell is it? It's a bit like saying if my auntie had balls she'd be my uncle! Ducati need to go back to drawing board and build a completely new bike in my view. With Audi bucks behind them this could be possible but for next year..? That's clearly not going to happen.

Bow down to Dovi...

The guy who almost put his team-mate over his handlebars in a battle for 8th place at Laguna.  FFS, talk about squabbling over crumbs...

Really hope Nicky returns the favour at some point in his final season at Ducati...

Money grabber?

For all the people saying Cal has only gone for the money consider this, if he stayed at Yam even on a factory supported sat bike, he's always going to be on hind tit for upgrades and therefore lagging on performance. By going to Ducati there's always the chance the tyre problem will be resolved giving full race performance.

Realistically I think he's going to have a worse bike next year but, with a tiny chance of Ducati pulling something out of the bag especially if Honda and Yam focus on development for this seasons title giving Ducati chance to catch up. It's a gamble it prob won't pay off but even if doesn't fair play for trying.

Oh dear

To not be a fan of cal and browse the web all day believing everything u read and posting it back on here and being offensive to most users because you think it's right and they have a point of view that is not copy and pasted you think it's wrong, also having a twatter account says much about you, unpopular in life an online.jealous that ppl in the gp paddock you wish you could ever talk to and be accepted never mind missed like cal at tech 3, nothing worse than a money claiming lazy troll with no real purpose in life, hating cal has become your obsession and all time high in your life, sad really for a sheep, but oh we'll at least I know I pay my taxes and help the biking and racing community by working with them,u I'm sure cant even swing ur leg over a ped let alone a mans motorcycle. Oh dear.:)

Taxes

You pay them do you fog? But what about your hero, Cal, riding under the Union flag but avoiding UK tax in Isle of Man? Seems he really doesn't give a shit about this country after all, and is only out to line his own pockets. And what about you, slating Dovi for going to Ducati, but now tax dodging Cal does it and you're cheering. What gives foggo? Serious points I'm curious to understand.

Who is cheering?

Not me I would have preferred seeing cal on a factory supported m1 in the tech 3 squad next season but I'm not cal,he made the decision for himself and with belief he can ride well and develop the bike,as a fan I'm sorry to see him give up an m1 for a desmo but no1 knows even cal till Qatar how he will go on it,as far as cals residency well that's his business not yours, now go put benny's dummy back in seen as u mummy him so much.or sadly but true it is you.oh dear.
