my bike stopped working on sunday so i got a new battery when i connected the battery the bike tried to start even though the keys were in my pocket. please help

Sounds like the starter relay(solenoid) is earthing to the frame(have you moved it when fitting the battery as it is attached to the relay direct from the live on the battery?)if not then the relay may be stuck in the on position due to corrosion or the low tension live feed earthing somewhere.But probably the starter relay touching a earth somewhere like the frame or a bolt head or something?Good Luck

The starter relay may be stuck as KC says.

The starter relay is under the left hand side panel under the seat. Basically, when you're sat on the bike, the relay is under your left buttock.

cheers people after a better look the solenoid was not looking good i have replaced it and am now happly bombing round.:biggrin:
