Rear Brake Woes

Just bought a P2 on an R Plate (1998) and although the bike is fantastic, I cannot believe how poor the rear brake is. I have checked the pads, bled the systemm(several times), and it is still not good. Braided hose kit is on the shopping list but anyone else experienced this. Perhaps my old FZR had amazing brakes but I really expected more from the ZX7R !

Similar problem.

I got mine about two months ago and the rear brake is also shit!! I already have full braided hoses and it is still crap! It also has a tendency to lock in the wet, which is interesting to say the least!! I was plannning to strip the caliper down, free off the pistons, give it a good clean up and a set of new top notch pads and see what happens. I just haven't got round to it yet! Let me know if you find anything that works. Otherwise we will just condemn it as a 'design flaw'. Anyone else got back brake issues.........?

Stoppers

Yeah, braided hoses, good pads, crap rear brake. I don't use it much but i'm happy it's crap sometimes - i've gone into a few corners way too fast and if the rear brake was any good I prob. wouldn't have made it, rear wheel lockup is not good going into a corner, unless your name is Mr S Byrne...
