seems so

seems so. I got one as a first bike back in september and wow what a bike. Have had no problems keeping up with faster bikes on the twisty stuff. So comfortable on 500 mile runs to scotland to see the family. Even took it on track last week and was faster than zx6 & cbr's. For such an underrated bike its fab

What downsides?

Have just read your message. Recently went back to biking a couple of years ago when I changed jobs and the commute to work by car did my head in. Bought a Cat and love it to bits. Use it all year round, 30 mile commute, weekend blasts and the odd trackday. Fast, comfortable, good two up, bags of midrange and thoroughly reliable. Have only two niggles, calipers seizing up in winter, regular freeing up solves it, and carb icing on freezing cold days, Wurth fuel treatment added to petrol solved that. Very underated bike.
