Would u recommend this bike?

I commute 150 miles per day on mainly motorways. I currently use a Bandid 600s which copes well and is fun to drive but lacks a bit of oomph at times. I was thinking of a bandit 1200 but I keep reading that the z750 is the business. I am concerned about the lack of fairing mainly. What sort of distance do you get from a tank and average mpg? cheers

commuting on a zed!

hello mate, my commute too work is only a eleven mile blast so i cant realy give any info on distance ridin. i have a ermax flyscreen on my bike which deflects the windblast upto a ton. on my first ride out after it was run in i got just over a hundred and thirty miles til the tank ran dry and that was nailin it, it has loads of midrange grunt but a bit buzzy through the pegs when you get up the rev range. great toy mate, sorry i cant help on the distance query! bri :-)

job done!

Just traded my TT600 in for a new black Z750. Test bike sounded superb, very smooth ride, mirrors crap & brakes could be better.Decided to go back to commuting all year & this fits the bill. Looking forward to picking it up on monday.

Brakes :-)

I have had my Zed for about 2 months now, I have got an ermax screen and a tail tidy bracket from hamicad on ebay. I sorted my brakes out with a set of HEL hoses running a line directly to each caliper and some EBC HH Pads. They are still not "brick wall" but about 200% better. Add to that the fact that the hoses themselves look so much better than the original kwak items. Hoses where £57 off Ebay (it is HEL selling direct on ebay btw) and delivery was 2 days. I took a sidewards step from a "fit" ZX9R (made 140 at the wheel) to the Zed and it's grins all the way, especially as all my mates are still on litre class bikes and keeping up is no real problem and much more satisfying. Cheers Fluffmeister

New Z750 S

Hi I was thinking about this bike too,,, I like the looks, but not sure who confy it would be 2 up etc or even at high speed, wind etc I am on a Bandit 600 naked with a fly screen and at Motorway speeds just a bit too much ... Thinking on a Faired bike, So the New Z faired at the NEC, let see how much they will be going for next year. I know you can get a Naked Z for just under 5K... so I will wait and see the ££££ before I make up my mind.....
