I%X92m refitting the cylinder head on a VT Shadow 700c V twin OHC. The 700c was modified for the USA market and imported to the UK. I%X92ve replaced cylinder and head gaskets with ones made for the 750c as these were the only ones available and they look identical. I am unable to get any compression in either cylinder. At TDC there is clearance at the inlet and exhaust valves but as I torque the camshaft housing the gap closes and all valve springs appear to be compressed.

I just recently replaced my panels on my bike and had to change the indicators from one panel to the other. They now are having issues. I can operate the rhs indicator but not the left. This is also greeted by a buzzing on the rhs operation and a perm on position for the Lhs. Please help a new rider! Would prefer to learn how to do it myself than get someone else to fix it!

Hey, I've just had the chain and sprockets replaced on the blade and seem to be getting more miles to a tank.The way I see it, one of 2 things is happening: 1. My reserve light is broken2. Having new stuff on the bike means it's more efficient, which means I'm getting better mpg. Normally the reserve comes on around 120 miles, but I managed 135 ish before getting to a petrol station (still without the light coming on) - I haven't had a chance to ride round and round until the light either comes on or the petrol runs out yet, so ...

I have a bmw r1150rt 2002 with top red brake warning light flashing four times per second with bottom red warning on constant and no servo working obviously expensive.I remember a while ago MCN printed the name of a company that converts brakes to none servo operation but I didn't own a bmw then and did not keep any info.is it possible to obtain the relevant info .thanks

I've got a 2008 bandit and for the last few hundred miles I seem to have hit a strange noise coming from the chain area. The chain is oiled up and in good condition. I initially thought it was the chain catching the plastic guide but it is tensioned correct. The noise sounds like a bearing failure. When I took the cover of the front sprocket I can see all teeth are present, but when I turn the rear wheel, I can feel a notchyness in the chain as it goes round the front sprocket. Hi,I have a problem with my Honda cbr600fy that i hope someone on here can solve. As soon as i touch the front brakes whilst riding i get a slight twich of the front end to the right, its not enough to completely unsettle the bike and the brakes pull the bike up fine.There is no pulsing or spongy feeling at the brake lever either.The brakes have had new pads put in and a complete brake fluid change, the front forks seem ok too.Anyone got any ideas?

I have a yamaha R1 02-03 fuel injected model , after a run I get a missfire below 3ooo rpm on 1cyl inder this has happend on all cylinders at some time and is cured by replacing the spark plug for a new one as standard factory fit each plug seems to last about 600 miles seems like high speed glazing
