my "250" Ariel Golden Arrow. It looked odd but was a match for Suzuki Super 6! It was a short stroke 250 twin, ran on 16:1 pre-mix and smoked like buggery! Someone famously took two arrow engines and built them onto a common crankcase making a 500/4 that was quite succesful in sidecar racing.
