Cheers for that. I must admit my 918 is fine for me. As you say it lives with the new breed, certainly on the twisty bits. Bit slower, obviously, on the straights but anyone can do 170/80 cos it's the bike and one hand that does that. I've had a few bikes in my time GPZ turbos and a few Gsxr 1100's and enjoyed them all at the time but I must admit to loving the usable power and lighter weight of the Blade. Yours looks like a minter by the way, good on ya. Takes a bit of work to keep them like that if you use them but it's well worth it. Always interested in any pics of good bikes. Cheers

Just an afterthought there Shippey. Check the fairing on yer 918. Are those Black & Decker holes cool or what? Some folks laughed at the time but,..check out all the 250 Aprillias in the GP.  Also Casey Stoners Ducati in the Moto.  I might have to get me drill out tomorrow on the old 929!

Hi shippey,

I sold one of these buggers back in 2007. Should'nt have. Best bike I ever had. Bought it on ebay from a top lad in Scotland. Never let me down and lived with much younger company riding though Europe to Moto Gps . Never, ever disgraced even among the exotic stuff.   I'm a more 'mature rider' too but, this bike made me twenty two again. I've a bit newer blade now and ride my sons ZX10 sometimes but, the old 918 made the most lasting impression of all.

Thank you Mr. Honda.      ps want some pics of my old 'Golden Oldie' Shippey?
