Temp

What is your temp reading after at least 30mins of riding 'normally'? Mine averages around 80 - 85 but when stuck behind traffic or going slow, it gets into the 90's and when it was sunny topped 106 but had been riding for a while. Thats probably due to the fact that I'm not getting as much cold air into the engine but just wondering if that sounds normal to everyone else?

Tank Range

Does anyone know the tank range of the RR? The tank holds 18 litres and i read somewhere that the R1 has the same tank size and does 120miles so am i right in thinking that the engine is just over half the size of the R1 then we should be looking at doing somewhere around 160 - 170 miles?

Tail Tidies

Anyone fitted a better tail tidy to replace that sail that comes as OE (though I admit not as bad as some out there)? I've seen a couple on ebay, but not too sure about them. Do they have to have the rear reflector to pass an MOT? Any suggestions?

Tyres

Just been reading th 600 test in Superbike, and it says that RR's come with Bridgestones as standard. Got mine from Fowlers and it had Dunlop218s on. These aren't supposed to be as good. Anyone else had the same, and if so, what did you do?

Fork Adjustments

A mate has bought a CBR600RR and he is a little too short for it. is it possible to just drop the yokes so the forks are about 40mm above the top of the yoke so that he can touch the floor properly? i dont think this is correct but this is what the dealer had done. he had the bike for less than an afternoon before he was involved in a RTA. He overtook a car and then when he went to pull back infront of the car the bike seemed to oversteer and hit the kirb which then ...

Wheel Alignment - Worth Checking !!!

Well my RR has just had it's 3rd birthday and went for it's 1st MOT and very nearly failed because the wheels are out of alignment !!!! Took it back to the dealers and they were going to get it straightened for me but thought they'd contact Honda UK first... this is where it gets interesting.... Honda said that all RR's have the front wheel offset by about 10mm to balance the bike perfectly as the engine weight is very slightly over to one side and it was easier to offset the wheel alignment for perfect "Mass Centralisation". Anybody checked ...
