Biking the backstreets of Beijing

Harry Few, 21 November 2013 02:29

This is a short video I made with a friend biking through the narrow allies (hutongs) of Beijing. Shot from a variety of different angles it gives a nice look into parts of the city not many tourists get to see, and ends beneath the Drum and Bell towers.

Italian Job

mediter, 03 September 2013 10:28

The last weekend of August saw a number of Aprilia Caponord owners meet in sleepy Llandovery, mid Wales. The beautiful and sunny weather helped the Caporiders enjoy the outstanding scenery that Wales has to offer.

Into the Ride

Edna Palmer, 06 May 2013 08:30

My son Andrew is travelling around the world on his 1991 Yamaha Tenera motorcycle. His gearbox broke so for the last six weeks he has been stranded in Temuco whilst he could source out the parts he required to fix his bike. Unlike Charley Boorman, Andrew does not have a huge back up team, just me! You can read about ...

First bike decisions

THEB455INATOR, 10 March 2013 17:43

I'm coming up to 16  and I'm looking for my first bike. Of course it has to be 50cc but the choices are nerve wrecking. Questions haunt me such as which bikes are reliable? Will it suit my needs? Am I going to look a complete burke on it? I am looking to spend up to around £2,000 on a ...

souroush, 08 March 2013 11:28

I enjoyed reading the article “The ten best and five worst biking royals” on your page. However, I assume you have missed one of the Royalties with a great passion for motorbikes. Anonymous, 21 January 2013 00:30

Our friend, Mike Page, tragically died in 2010 and at his funeral, a group of his close friends decided to rebuild his old Triumph Bonneville in his honour and memory. Mike had owned the Bonneville for about 18 years and it spent many of these years in his front room, with him ever planning ways to get it back on ...

HOC members pay their respects

Stritchy, 11 November 2012 20:35

Along with hundreds of other bikers, HOC members from Oxford, Cambridge, Beds, North London, North Downs, Reading, Northants, MK and West London branches went to Duxford Museum on Remembrance Sunday. We went to pay our respects and do the very least we can, by simply standing together in silence for two minutes and remembering. Beautiful in its simplicity.

My experience of module 1

Patrick Jarvis, 08 November 2012 13:31

On Tuesday 6 November I passed my module 1 test with no minors. Before I sat the test I decided it would be sensible to research to prepare myself. Yet what I found was chaotic to say the least. Firstly I was on internet forums, and found people complaining about how the test is carried out, that they dropped the bike ...

Motorcycle Headstone

Jon Young, 07 November 2012 15:48

Not something you see every day. Was on a push bike tour across France earlier in the year and stopped to take a photo of a rather photogenic church in Anneville-Ambourville in Normandy. It was only when I'd done this that I noticed one of the gravestones was significantly different from the rest and required closer inspection. I know little ...
