The view on my ride to work

Gareth Pitt-Nash, 18 June 2013 06:02

Sadly I forgot to ride to work on ride to work day - I had some clothes to take for dry cleaning, so it wouldn't have been practical. I do, mostly, ride to work and thought I would send in the attached picture of my normal route. It doesn't do the views justice, but is a quick example of what I ...

Three Sisters charity track day

nippiman, 11 June 2013 21:54

I spent a great afternoon at Three Sisters circuit in Wigan on my adapted trike. The event is once a month for charity and this month it was in aid of the blood donor bikes and was attended by local hero and TT racer John Ingram, fresh from the Island and straight from a hard days work!

Bad roads

Brian Sketchley, 02 June 2013 06:52

I drove up the M1 today. Has anybody else seen the huge holes that are appearing along the joins between lanes? Where there should be cats eyes or over banding potholes are appearing and forming a void down to the previous surface level anywhere up to a foot wide and up to 10 or 15 feet long. Hitting one at ...

Into the Ride

Edna Palmer, 06 May 2013 08:30

My son Andrew is travelling around the world on his 1991 Yamaha Tenera motorcycle. His gearbox broke so for the last six weeks he has been stranded in Temuco whilst he could source out the parts he required to fix his bike. Unlike Charley Boorman, Andrew does not have a huge back up team, just me! You can read about ...

Warning of motorcycle insurance creeping clauses

Gareth Nightingale, 24 April 2013 20:35

This is a warning to all motorcycle riders to check their insurance terms carefully. I have been riding and insuring motorcycles for some 35 years now and have always been able to declare the bike as garaged. In the beginning this meant a simple decrease in premium, they trusted you to be sensible and put it in the garage most ...

Zippydodah - zip pull replacement

David Hodson, 16 April 2013 15:00

Fed up with zip pulls breaking on my gear and, at the time, not finding anything on the web I decided to create my own replacement zip pull. I spent a couple of years over this perfecting the design and material. I now have something that is easy to use, cheap and looks good on all clothing. I've called it ...

Modern retro

ronfairbrother, 14 April 2013 14:33

I’ve spent hours drooling over the bikes crafted by Sanctuary and Bulldock in Japan and longed to recreate something similar. You have to remember though, that these guys are quite well established and possess all the machinery and parts necessary to push out bikes of that quality, and what high quality they are too. However, never one for giving up, ...

Stritchy, 03 April 2013 13:02

The Northants and Milton Keynes Honda Owners Club had two rides this easter, taking chocolate eggs to children who are unfortunately in hospital. The first ride was on Saturday March 30 to Milton Keynes General Hospital and the second to Northampton General Hospital. Well done to everyone for bringing some easter cheer to those less fortunate.
