Into the Ride

Edna Palmer, 06 May 2013 08:30

My son Andrew is travelling around the world on his 1991 Yamaha Tenera motorcycle. His gearbox broke so for the last six weeks he has been stranded in Temuco whilst he could source out the parts he required to fix his bike. Unlike Charley Boorman, Andrew does not have a huge back up team, just me! You can read about ...

Warning of motorcycle insurance creeping clauses

Gareth Nightingale, 24 April 2013 20:35

This is a warning to all motorcycle riders to check their insurance terms carefully. I have been riding and insuring motorcycles for some 35 years now and have always been able to declare the bike as garaged. In the beginning this meant a simple decrease in premium, they trusted you to be sensible and put it in the garage most ...

Zippydodah - zip pull replacement

David Hodson, 16 April 2013 15:00

Fed up with zip pulls breaking on my gear and, at the time, not finding anything on the web I decided to create my own replacement zip pull. I spent a couple of years over this perfecting the design and material. I now have something that is easy to use, cheap and looks good on all clothing. I've called it ...

Modern retro

ronfairbrother, 14 April 2013 14:33

I’ve spent hours drooling over the bikes crafted by Sanctuary and Bulldock in Japan and longed to recreate something similar. You have to remember though, that these guys are quite well established and possess all the machinery and parts necessary to push out bikes of that quality, and what high quality they are too. However, never one for giving up, ...

The first ride was on Saturday March 30 to Milton Keynes General Hospital and the second to Northampton General Hospital. Well done to everyone for bringing some easter cheer to those less fortunate.

Incredible!

hardhatharry99, 02 April 2013 15:41

Have you seen the latest from the British Enduro Championship taken from Elgin Endurance Club? "The first round of the British Enduro Championship has been spoiled by the police, who on one of the few road sections, decided to nick all the competitors with undersized number plates, issuing £60 penalty notices! "This is despite the organisers contacting the police beforehand ...

Bandit Bits

Dennis, 26 March 2013 08:42

Just thought you would like to see what I have done with an old written off Suzuki Bandit 1200s down here in Australia. Without guys in the UK I would never had made it. When I needed parts for the bike I had to rely on the lads who had bits and pieces in UK to post them to me. ...

Bonding with my daughter

Joe Poulter, 21 March 2013 18:25

Sidecars may not be for everyone but they're much more fun than sitting in a tin box. Each year I take my BMW R850R outfit to the Stella Alpine Rally. I travel down through France at a steady pace using few motorways to relax and take in the sites. No Hotels just wild camping. My Jody and I had two weeks around the Alps, three days in Monoco and four ...
