Products advice: Will an 09 Bonnie pipe fit an 03 bonnie?

Can a full exhaust system off a 2009 Triumph T100 Bonnie slot onto my '03 model? Exhaust advice: Discoloured downpipes

I've bought a used 2006 Yamaha XJR1300 with 3000 miles on clock which runs very well. However the front downpipes are discoloured and have gone slightly purple. What do you think is the cause?
