Knockhill British Superbikes: Jonathan Rea secures pole after rain affected qualifying session

Jonathan Rea carried on his form from this morning's final practice session to secure pole position for tomorrow's British Superbike races at Knockhill.  The HM Plant Honda man managed to slip a best time in of 48.345 before the heavens opened soaking the track. Ryuichi Kiyonari swapped places with his HM Plant Honda teammate Jonathan Rea in this afternoon’s second free practice at Knockhill.  The Japanese rider went marginally quicker than his first practice time to record a best of 48.334 around the Scottish circuit. Guy Sanders fastest for British Supersport practice at Mondello Park

Kawasaki’s Guy Sanders was the fastest man at Mondello Park this morning in the first of the British Supersport practices.  Guy Sanders, who is currently 10th in the British Supersport championship, recorded a best time of 1:57.727 round the Irish circuit, 0.316secs ahead of Yamaha rider Billy McConnell who was best at 1:58.043. Lavilla ups the pace at Silverstone

Gregorio Lavilla upped the pace in the second practice session at Silverstone this afternoon (Friday) by going half a second quicker. The Spaniard, who has won all four races so far this weekend, recorded a time of 1:26.158 just over three tenths of a second ahead of Yamaha rider Tommy Hill. Lavilla fastest in warm-up

Gregorio Lavilla topped the timesheets in warm up at Brands Hatch this morning just hours before the start of the new season. The Airwaves Ducati rider recorded a best time of 1:26.205 ahead of Stobart Vent-Axia’s Shane Byrne who’s best was 1:26.417.
