Loris Capirossi silent on Aragon return

Loris Capirossi has made no mention of his chances of being fit for the Motorland Aragon MotoGP race after a successful operation on his badly damaged right little finger.
The veteran Italian is a major doubt for the next race after he suffered bone damage and a severed tendon when he was involved in a second corner incident with Nicky Hayden in Misano last weekend.
Capirossi underwent a 90-minute operation in San Marino to reconstruct the bone and re-attach the tendon and he’s now recovering back at his Monte Carlo home.
The factory Suzuki rider said: “The operation went very well and I am very pleased with what Dr. Soragni told me after I came out of surgery.
"Dr. Costa was also present and he knows how the injury will heal and he will help me to make the right decision about when I can ride again.
"The bone has been reconstructed and I have been told I will get full movement back – which is great news – but at the moment the finger is immobilised so I don’t cause any damage to the excellent work the surgeon has done.
"Although I am in a bit of pain, this is still nothing compared to what happened at Misano on Sunday and once again I want to send my wishes and prayers to (Shoya) Tomizawa’s family in their time of great sadness.”
