Sepang MotoGP: Vinales takes 125GP win

1 of 1

Paris Hilton Racing rider Maverick Vinales took his third victory of the season after championship leader Nicolas Terol made a mistake on the final lap, meaning the last ever 125GP championship will be decided at the final race in Valencia.

Terol suffered from a rear slide on the penultimate lap, allowing Vinales and Sandro Cortese through to first and second. Then on the final lap Terol had another slide and ran off track, letting championship hopeful Johann Zarco passed. Terol needed to finish ahead of Zarco to secure the title, but finished fifth, with Zarco in third.

After completing the race Terol stopped on the slow down lap and lay on the ground, returning to the pits in a medical car.

Brit Danny Kent finished 10th, with Danny Webb and Taylor Mackenzie in 13th and 21st respectively.
