HRC presents RC212V to Marco Simoncelli’s family

The parents of late Italian rider Marco Simoncelli were presented with one of his factory RC212V MotoGP machines during an emotional ceremony at the Mugello circuit earlier today.

HRC Vice-President Shuhei Nakamoto unveiled Simoncelli’s San Carlo Gresini Honda rider to Simoncelli’s parents Paolo and Rosella during a special presentation in the Mugello paddock.

Simoncelli passed away after suffering multiple injuries in a crash during last October’s Malaysia Grand Prix at Sepang.

A large crowd gathered outside the Gresini hospitality unit and Simoncelli’s parents were also presented with a special edition SuperSic –inspired CBR1000RR.
