Mugello MotoGP: Vinales steals Moto3 pole

Spaniard Maverick Vinales will start tomorrow’s Moto3 race from pole position after a final lap which knocked Sandro Cortese off the top spot.

KTM rider Cortese looked set to take pole position, but Vinales managed to beat the German by almost half a second despite catching up to a group of slower riders at the end of his final lap.

Fellow Spaniard Alex Rins completes the front row.

FTR Honda rider Efren Vazquez heads the second row. Brit Danny Kent sits in fifth, ahead of Niccolo Antonelli in sixth. Danny Webb starts from 32nd on the grid.
