Jorge Lorenzo vows to take more risks in Valencia

Jorge Lorenzo has pledged to take more risks to sign off a triumphant 2012 world championship campaign in winning style in Sunday’s final race at Valencia.
The Spaniard clinched his second MotoP world title with a second place in the recent Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island, but he has only won two out of the last nine races.
Lorenzo has admitted adopting a more cautious approach in recent races to protect his advantage over in-form Repsol Honda rival Dani Pedrosa.
But he has vowed to throw more caution to the wind in Sunday’s season finale with the pressure now off and a seventh win of the campaign up for grabs.
The factory Yamaha rider said: “For sure my shoulders are much lighter now I’ve won the championship. Everything here feels much easier with less pressure, so I would like to fight for a last win here.
"We will have a lot of competition because Casey (Stoner) will have the last race of his career and for sure he would like to win it and leave in the best way possible. And Dani also would like to get away from the bad feeling he had in Phillip Island.
"But without this pressure I can be more easy going on the track. I want to try and win and I can take more risks than the last races to try and do that.”
