Aragon MotoGP: Corsi secures Moto2 pole

Ioda Racing rider Simonce Corsi has secured the first Moto2 pole position of his career.

Corsi stole pole position from Spanish rider Pol Espargaro in the dying moments of the session. Italian Andrea Iannone will start from third on the grid.

Repsol Suter rider Marc Marquez had a disappointing session by his standard, setting the seventh fastest time after nearly crashing on his final fast lap. Tech 3 rider Bradley Smith set the eighth fastest time, with Scott Redding completing the third row in ninth.

Brit Gino Rea continues to struggle onboard his Suter machine, only managing to set the 22nd fastest time.
