Qatar MotoGP: Salom takes Moto3 win

Red Bull KTM ride Luis Salom has taken victory in the first Moto3 race of he 2013 season at the Losail circuit, Qatar.

Salom held on to ros the line first in a race that could have easily been won by any of the top five.

Spaniard Maverick Vinales finished second, marginally ahead of Alex Rins. Rins’ team-mate Alex Marquez just missed out on the podium in fourth position with Jonas Folger in fifth on the much improved Mahindra machine.

Brit Danny Webb had an impressive debut on the Suter Honda finishing 11th ahead of Brad Binder.

Fellow Brit John McPhee crashed out of 15th position with only a couple of laps remaining.
