Ben Spies and Andrea Iannone reveal new Pramac Ducati livery

Ben Spies and Andrea Iannone have unveiled their new 2013 Ducati livery at the Madonna di Campiglio ski resort in Italy tonight.

The red and white livery was notable for carrying different title sponsorship, with Spies backed by Ignite. The investment is coming from Ignite Asset Management, which is a financial services firm based in New York.

Energy TI will back Italian Iannone’s Ducati GP13.

Former factory Yamaha rider Spies is due to make his debut on the Ducati Desmosedici when winter testing resumes at the Sepang track in Malaysia on February 5.

A shoulder injury he sustained in a crash during a rain-hit Malaysian Grand Prix last October prevented the Texan from participating in two pre-Christmas tests that Ducati took part in at Valencia and Jerez.

The satellite team unveiled its new livery at the same time as Andrea Dovizioso and Nicky Hayden showed off the new factory Ducati team’s paint scheme.

The dual unveiling confirms Ducati’s new approach of bringing the Italian-based Pramac squad much closer to its factory effort in 2013.

Spies and Iannone will both have access to the same spec Desmosedici that factory duo Dovizioso and Hayden will campaign from the start of the season as Ducati tries to speed up development of its struggling machine.
